Harbor Health Scholarship
Supporting the next generation of scientists, tradespeople, and stewards working to protect Nantucket Harbor
About this Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior or alumni of Nantucket High School who demonstrates a genuine commitment to the marine environment — whether through academic study or hands-on trade. Two tracks are eligible: the Marine Science track for students entering a degree program in such as ocean, environmental, or marine-related fields, and the Harbor Trades track for students entering a vocational, apprenticeship, or certificate program in a marine trade. Financial need will be considered as one factor in the selection process.
This scholarship reflects GHYCF’s mission to promote and preserve the health of Nantucket Harbor and its marine ecosystem. It is awarded to a student who demonstrates a strong interest in marine or maritime work and a commitment to contributing to the long-term stewardship, sustainability, and vitality of Nantucket Harbor and coastal environments.
