Making Waves for Nantucket's Harbor Health

An Immersive STEM Experience for Students

The GHYC Foundation’s Youth Harbor Education Program (YHEP) is now partnering with the Maria Mitchell Association’s Scallop Research and Mentoring Program to launch an exciting new initiative — the Marine Science Research & Student Mentoring Program (MSRMP).

This program combines classroom learning with field research and mentorship from scientists and maritime professionals. Designed for students ages 12 and older, MSRMP offers four two-week sessions, each ending with a public capstone presentation to showcase what students have learned and discovered.
