The Foundation’s purchase and donation of the FlowCam to TON NRD Brant Point Shellfish Hatchery has allowed the following improvements:

• Accurate phytoplankton and harmful algal bloom identification in order to monitor harbor water quality

• Allows hatchery to process, view and quantify larval shellfish samples in under five minutes vs hours when compared to a microscope

• Integral tool for the successful future of the Town’s shellfish hatchery production
